THE TOUR
This arts festival united the world-class talent of Procol Harum, re-grouping after many years, the classical virtuosity of Covent Garden stars, Ann Murray & Jeremy Ovenden, a high-flying young orchestra, The New London Sinfonia, and two renowned choirs, Guildford Choral Society and the Occam Singers. The eclecticism of the program symbolised the nature of Guildford’s first major arts festival which showcased a broad swathe of the arts.
On this Sunday the 17th September, 2000 there was something for everyone on the grassy slopes of Stoke Park, Guildford.  Exciting young bands including Family Fandango, Fish Belly White, Grand Western, Crush and Mindwire played on the Concert Stage.  They were followed by Sonny Black & the Dukes jazz band and the Surrey Mozart Players among many others.Â
There was a movie marquee which showed excerpts from popular films including Gone with the Wind, Mission Impossible, spaghetti westerns, and sci-fi as well as some short films celebrating Guildford town.Â
On the Dance/Drama Stage, a feast of drama alternated with poetry, song & innovative dance productions from the University of Surrey’s Campusdance, Stagecoach Theatre Arts and others. For the finale on this stage, Sean McNamara and his professional troupe presented a selection from West End musicals.
The day-long festival featured multiple art forms, catering to all tastes, and was an outstanding success.
COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians. Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.
Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
