DESCRIPTION
Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in 1955 - over 68 years ago. Printed by Publicity Press Pty Ltd, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Presented by Lee Gordon.

This is an amazing piece of history featuring info and black & white photos of each of the performers. Despite its age, it's in very good condition. There is some wear at the spine and general age discolouration. There's a white sticker on the front cover and an old price sticker on the back cover. 

The left side of the front cover features a red band with black and white images of the faces of Stan Freberg, Don Cornell, Joe 'Fingers' Carr, Buddy Rich and The Nilsson Twins arranged vertically.

THE TOUR
The featured acts for this tour were Don Cornell, Stan Freberg, Joe "Fingers" Carr, Buddy Rich and The Nilsson Twins.  The support act was Joe Martin and the Tune Twisters.

  • Don Cornell, whose real name was Luigi Francesco Varlaro, was an American singer of Italian descent. He was born on April 21, 1919, in New York City, and he passed away on February 23, 2004. Don Cornell was known for his smooth and romantic singing style, which made him popular during the 1940s and 1950s.
  • Stan Freberg was a highly influential American comedian, satirist, writer, musician, and voice actor known for his wit and creativity. He was born on August 7, 1926, in Los Angeles, California, and passed away on April 7, 2015.
  • Joe "Fingers" Carr was an American pianist and popular recording artist known for his lively and humorous piano music. He was born on July 18, 1910, in Louisville, Kentucky, and he passed away on September 19, 1979. He was known for his honky-tonk and ragtime piano style. 
  • Buddy Rich, born Bernard "Buddy" Rich on September 30, 1917, and passed away on April 2, 1987, was an iconic American jazz drummer and bandleader. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest drummers in the history of jazz and is known for his exceptional technical skill, speed, and virtuosity behind the drum kit.
  • The Nilsson Twins, Elsa and Eileen Nilsson, were movie stars and successful recording artists.
