The "Tour of Future Days" tour, which included cities in New Zealand and Australia, was a significant part of the band's career, and it featured a distinctive stage setup and visual presentation, characteristic of the 1980s new wave and pop music scene. The Thompson Twins were known for their catchy, synthesizer-driven sound and visually engaging performances.
The band's lineup for this tour consisted of the following members:
-
Tom Bailey (born January 18, 1956) - Tom Bailey was the band's lead vocalist and played various instruments, including keyboards and guitar. He was one of the founding members of the group and a driving creative force behind their music.
-
Alannah Currie (born September 20, 1957) - Alannah Currie was a vocalist and percussionist in the band. She joined the Thompson Twins in the early 1980s and became a key member of the group.
-
Joe Leeway (born July 2, 1955) - Joe Leeway was a vocalist and also played various instruments, contributing to the band's distinctive sound. He joined the band in its early years and was an essential part of their success.
