THE TOUR
Sky was a British-Australian classical rock band that formed in 1978. The band was known for its unique and innovative fusion of classical music and rock, creating a distinctive sound that combined virtuoso musicianship with a progressive rock edge.

Sky was known for their live performances, which often featured elaborate lighting and visuals to complement their music. Their concerts were popular among fans of both classical and rock music.  Sky's unique musical style and virtuosity earned them a dedicated fan base. They were pioneers in blending classical and rock genres, paving the way for other bands and artists to explore similar fusions. Their music continues to be appreciated by those who enjoy the combination of classical and rock elements.

On this 1987 'A New Journey' tour of Australia, the band members - Herbie Flowers (bass & brass), Tristan Fry (drums), Steve Gray (keyboards), and Kevin Peek (guitar) - were supported by former Yes keyboard player Rick Wakeman in the guest musician slot.

COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians.  Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.

Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
