DESCRIPTION
Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in circa 1990 - over 33 years ago. Printed for the Australian tour by Playbill Publications. The tour was presented by Dennis Smith.

This is a very newsy program featuring discography and a lot of info about Don McLean. It includes both black & white plus full colour photos and is in excellent condition. 

Actual images of item have been used and form part of the item condition/description.  

THE TOUR
Don McLean is an American singer-songwriter known for his iconic song "American Pie" and has had a successful career spanning several decades. The song "American Pie" is played around the world on radio hundreds of times per day, every day. Decades later, McLean earns $300,000 – $500,000 per year in royalties off his hit. 

His other hit singles include "Vincent" (about Vincent van Gogh), "Dreidel", and "Wonderful Baby"; as well as his renditions of Roy Orbison's "Crying" and the Skyliners' "Since I Don't Have You".

Don McLean was born in New Rochelle, New York, and grew up in a musical family. He started playing the guitar at an early age and was influenced by folk and rock music of the 1950s and 1960s.

McLean has released numerous albums throughout his career, exploring various musical styles, including folk, rock, and country. Some of his other albums include "Don McLean" (1972), "Homeless Brother" (1974), and "Botanical Gardens" (2018).
