THE TOUR
In 1998 Australia Post issued Australian Rock 'n' Roll, a set of twelve stamps featuring Australian hit songs of the late 50's, the 60's and the early 70's. 'Rock Australia' took us from the pub rock era of the late 70's to the dance and studio music of the 1990's.

The booklet features bios and gorgeous photos of each of the 10 artists and the chosen song of each. The celebrated artists were Kylie Minogue (Confide in Me), Crowded House (Don't Dream it's Over), Savage Garden (Truly Madly Deeply), Yothu Yindi (Treaty) , John Farnham (You're the Voice), Cold Chisel (Khe Sanh), INXS (Original Sin), Men at Work (Downunder), Midnight Oil (Power and the Passion) and Silverchair (Tomorrow).

From hard rock to pure pop, the ten hit songs in Rock Australia highlighted the diversity of the Australian contemporary music scene. Some were seriously political, some deeply personal and others were just madcap fun. All the songs featured were great hits of the music-loving public. Each of them said something about Australia, and told the rest of the world this is what popular culture sounds like, and it has an Australian accent.

COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians.  Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.

Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
