THE TOUR
The Who first formed in London, England, in 1964. The original lineup consisted of Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar, vocals), John Entwistle (bass), and Keith Moon (drums). They initially came together under different names such as "The Detours" and "The High Numbers" before settling on "The Who."
The band quickly gained attention for their energetic live performances, innovative music, and rebellious attitude. They became known for pushing the boundaries of rock music and achieving commercial success with their distinctive sound, characterized by powerful guitar riffs, explosive drumming, and a dynamic stage presence.
Throughout the 1960s and beyond, The Who established themselves as one of the most influential and iconic rock bands in history, leaving an indelible mark on the music world with their albums, such as "My Generation," "Tommy," "Who's Next," and more, as well as their legendary live performances.
The Who embarked on a tour in 2008, which extended into 2009. By this time, The Who's lineup consisted of Roger Daltrey (vocals), Pete Townshend (guitar, vocals), and other accompanying musicians. Sadly, the original rhythm section of the band had changed due to the deaths of Keith Moon in 1978 and John Entwistle in 2002. The band had other skilled musicians filling in these roles for live performances.
COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians. Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.
Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
