Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in 1981 - over 42 years ago. Printed by Showcase Productions. The tour was presented in Australia & New Zealand By Alex Cooley and Omen International.

This is a great piece of history featuring both full-colour and black & white photos and is in excellent condition with minor edge wear and a bit of age discolouration. The program includes info on Willie and discography.

THE TOUR
Willie Nelson was born on April 29, 1933, in Abbott, Texas, USA. He grew up in a musical family and began playing the guitar at a young age. His early influences included country, blues, and folk music.

Willie Nelson's "On the Road Again" tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1981 was a significant concert tour by the American country music icon Willie Nelson. The tour was in support of his album "Honeysuckle Rose," which served as the soundtrack for the film of the same name in which Willie Nelson played the lead role.

The tour aimed to promote both the album "Honeysuckle Rose" and the movie of the same name. The film was a musical drama in which Willie Nelson played the character Buck Bonham, a famous country musician on tour. The tour was successful and helped solidify Willie Nelson's popularity in Australia and New Zealand. His blend of outlaw country and Americana resonated with audiences in these countries.

 "On the Road Again" became one of Willie Nelson's signature songs and remains one of his most recognizable hits. Its inclusion in the film "Honeysuckle Rose" and the subsequent tour further cemented its status as an iconic country song.
