PRE-OWNED CD

DESCRIPTION
European 2CD reissue of Blues For Brahms by Austria's acclaimed Vienna Art Orchestra, released on the Amadeo label. Led by composer and arranger Mathias Rüegg, this adventurous 11-track collection showcases the ensemble's distinctive fusion of avant-garde jazz, free improvisation and inventive big band arrangements. Featuring extended compositions including Punkt 1) Festliche Eröffnung, OK - But Who Is TOBER?, the title track Blues For Brahms and a creative interpretation of the jazz standard Body And Soul, this recording highlights the orchestra's sophisticated musicianship and experimental approach to contemporary European jazz. An excellent addition for collectors of progressive and avant-garde big band music.
