DESCRIPTION
Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in March 1965 - over 58 years ago. Presented by Aztec Services Pty Ltd and Stadiums Pty Ltd.

This is an amazing piece of history featuring bios and black & white photos of all the performers. It's in good condition. There is age discolouration and a bit of creasing at the top right corner. The middle page has partly lifted from the spine of the booklet.

THE TOUR
The featured acts on this tour were Cilla Black, Sounds Incorporated, Freddie & The Dreamers, Mark Wynter and Merv Benton. Noel Tressider, highly regarded as one of Melbourne's leading pianists at the time, accompanied both Mark Wynter and Merv Benton on piano. 

The Changing Times, a group of boys who were discovered at Pinocchio's, a small restaurant in Melbourne, were selected as the backing group for Mark Wynter in Sydney. The Henchmen were the support group in Melbourne.

• Priscilla Maria Veronica White OBE, better known as Cilla Black, was an English singer and television presenter. Championed by her friends the Beatles, Black began her career as a singer in 1963. Her singles "Anyone Who Had a Heart" and "You're My World" both reached number one in the UK in 1964.
• Sounds Incorporated was a British instrumental pop/rock group which recorded extensively in the 1960s.
• Freddie and the Dreamers were an English beat band that had a number of hit records between 1963 and 1965. The band's stage act was enlivened by the comic antics of Freddie Garrity, who would bounce around the stage with arms and legs flying.
• Mark Wynter is an English singer and actor, who had four Top 20 singles in the 1960s, including "Venus in Blue Jeans" and "Go Away Little Girl". He enjoyed a lengthy career from 1960 to 1968 as a pop singer and teen idol, and developed later into an actor in film, musicals and plays.
• Merv Benton was an Australian pop singer from the mid-1960s. His most popular singles were "Baby Let's Play House", "I Got Burned", "Yield Not to Temptation", "Don't Destroy Me" and "You've Got What it Takes". For the 1966 Go-Set pop poll he was listed third most popular male vocalist. 

The March 1965 edition of The Big Show performed at Brisbane's Festival Hall on the 15th, Melbourne's Festival Hall on the 17th and 18th, at Sydney Stadium on the 19th and 20th, Adelaide's Palais Royal on the 22nd and Perth's Capitol Theatre on March 23rd.
