PRE-OWNED CD

DESCRIPTION
Released in 1994 on Band Of Joy, Maida Vale is a collection of BBC radio session recordings by British progressive rock pioneers Van Der Graaf Generator. Featuring the distinctive vocals of Peter Hammill, powerful organ work, atmospheric saxophone and complex arrangements, the album captures the band's intense and experimental sound during the 1970s. Across eight extended performances, including "Darkness," "Man-Erg," "Scorched Earth," "Sleepwalkers" and "La Rossa," this release offers an essential glimpse into the group's formidable live-in-the-studio musicianship. A compelling addition for collectors of classic British progressive rock.
