Originally released in 1988, Great Truckin' Songs Of The Renaissance is the debut studio album from cult Australian alternative rock band TISM (This Is Serious Mum). This 2022 Australian 2CD digipak reissue on Genre B.Goode and DRW features the original 27-track album alongside a bonus disc containing over 42 minutes of additional material titled This CD Is Not As Good As The Other One. Blending alternative rock, punk, electronic experimentation and biting satirical humour, the album established TISM's reputation for irreverent lyrics, provocative social commentary and unconventional songwriting. Featuring fan favourites I'm Interested In Apathy, Saturday Night Palsy, If You're Creative, Get Stuffed, I Drive A Truck, Defecate On My Face and The Ballad Of John Bonham's Coke Roadie, this landmark release captures the chaotic energy and distinctive humour of one of Australia's most notorious alternative bands.
