The Seekers & Graham Parker – Signed Paper Mounted on Black Cardboard (Circa 1978)
A piece of white paper (lightly yellowed with age) glued on black cardboard featuring autographs from members of The Seekers circa 1978. Signatures included are Buddy England, Keith Potger, Athol Guy and Louisa Wisseling, written clearly in black pen. The paper also features “Seekers” written at the top.
This item also carries the autograph of Graham Parker, who was in Australia with his band The Rumour during 1978. Parker was a central figure in the UK’s pub rock and new wave scene, known for sharp lyricism and high-energy performances.
The Seekers, formed in Melbourne in the early 1960s, were Australia’s first group to achieve major international chart success. With classics such as I’ll Never Find Another You and Georgy Girl, they became icons of the folk-pop movement. By the late 1970s, the line-up had evolved, with Louisa Wissling taking on lead vocals.
Includes a Rockaway Records Certificate of Authenticity.
Actual image of item has been used and forms part of the item condition/description.
