DESCRIPTION
2007 New Zealand original motion picture soundtrack to the quirky romantic comedy Eagle Vs Shark, written and directed by acclaimed filmmaker Taika Waititi and starring Jemaine Clement and Loren Horsley. Featuring 26 tracks, the soundtrack combines original music composed by New Zealand indie rock band The Phoenix Foundation with contributions from Luke Buda, The Reduction Agents, Age Pryor, Tessa Rain and other artists. Includes standout tracks "I Love You, Awesome," "Blue Summer," "Hitchcock," "Sea World" and "Going Fishing," alongside M. Ward's interpretation of David Bowie's "Let's Dance" and The Stone Roses' "This Is The One." Also features dialogue and musical performances from the film's cast, including a hidden track by Taika Waititi. Blending atmospheric indie rock, folk, psychedelic pop and offbeat humour, this distinctive soundtrack is an excellent collectible for fans of New Zealand cinema, The Phoenix Foundation and independent music.
