PRE-OWNED CD

DESCRIPTION
Rarities 1994-1999 is a 2002 Australian compilation from acclaimed Newcastle alternative rock trio Silverchair, released through Murmur Records. Featuring 11 rare recordings from the band's formative years, the collection brings together B-sides, remixes, acoustic performances and cover versions spanning their early grunge-inspired sound through to their increasingly experimental late-1990s material. Highlights include the acoustic remix of "Ana's Song (Open Fire)", "Freak (Remix For Us Rejects)", "Spawn (Pre-Vitro Version)" and covers of songs by Black Flag and Minor Threat. Showcasing Daniel Johns' distinctive vocals and guitar work alongside Chris Joannou and Ben Gillies, this Australian release is a collectable addition to any Silverchair collection and an excellent snapshot of the band's early creative evolution.
