PRE-OWNED CD

DESCRIPTION
Trans is the experimental 1982 studio album from legendary Canadian singer-songwriter Neil Young, presented here in a European remastered CD reissue through Geffen Records. Marking a dramatic departure from his familiar folk and country rock sound, the album explores electronic music, synth-pop and futuristic production techniques, featuring synthesisers, vocoders, electronic rhythms and heavily processed vocals. Inspired in part by Young's experiences communicating with his son Ben, the album includes distinctive tracks such as "Computer Age", "Transformer Man", "Sample And Hold" and an electronic reworking of the Buffalo Springfield classic "Mr. Soul". Alongside these innovative recordings are more traditional rock performances including "Little Thing Called Love" and "Like An Inca". Initially divisive, Trans has since gained recognition as one of Neil Young's most adventurous and fascinating releases, making it an essential addition for collectors of experimental rock and electronic music.
