THE PLAY
The Mousetrap, a classic murder mystery play by Agatha Christie, opened in the UK at St. Martin's Theatre in London in 1976, although it originally debuted much earlier. The play itself first opened in the West End on November 25, 1952, at the Ambassador Theatre. It was later moved to St. Martin's Theatre in 1976, where it ran for an unprecedentedly long time.

This makes The Mousetrap not only one of Agatha Christie's most famous works but also the longest-running play in the world, holding the record for its continuous performance in the West End.
