PRE-OWNED VINYL

DESCRIPTION
Originally released in 1971, What's Going On is Marvin Gaye's landmark eleventh studio album and one of the most influential soul records ever made. Moving beyond traditional Motown pop, Gaye created a deeply personal concept album exploring war, poverty, racial injustice, environmental destruction and spiritual reflection. Featuring the timeless classics "What's Going On", "Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology)" and "Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler)", the album blends lush orchestration, layered vocals, jazz influences and socially conscious songwriting. Widely regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time, What's Going On remains as relevant today as it was upon its original release. This 2021 Tamla reissue is pressed on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl and housed in a gatefold sleeve.
