DESCRIPTION
Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in 1990 - 33 years ago. Printed for the tour of Australia which was presented by Hilton International and Continental Airlines.

This program is in excellent condition. The front cover has some price sticker residue but apart from that, it's perfect. The program includes a bio on Venetta Fields and the Hilton Hotel's menu for the night's performance.

THE TOUR
By the time of this tour, Lou Rawls had already established himself as a prominent figure in the music world. He had a long and successful career that spanned several decades, starting in the late 1950s. He was known for his smooth vocal style. Frank Sinatra once said that Rawls had "the classiest singing and silkiest chops in the singing game". Rawls released more than 70 albums, sold more than 40 million records, appeared as an actor in motion pictures and on television, and voiced-over many cartoons.

For this 1990 tour he performed at the Sydney Hilton, the Brisbane Hilton and the Hilton on the Park in Melbourne. Lou Rawls had a rich, baritone voice that could effortlessly navigate through various musical genres and he was known for his engaging and charismatic stage presence. He had the ability to connect with the audience, often sharing anecdotes and stories between songs, which added a personal touch to his performances.
