DESCRIPTION
Reissue of the KMD album Black Bastards. KMD was an American hip-hop group formed in Long Beach, New York in 1988. The group consisted of brothers Daniel Dumile (who later became known as MF DOOM) and Dingilizwe Dumile, as well as their friend Rodan. KMD released their debut album "Mr. Hood" in 1991, which received critical acclaim for its socially conscious lyrics and innovative production. However, the group's career was cut short when Dingilizwe Dumile died in 1993 and their record label, Elektra Records, dropped them due to controversial artwork on their second album "Black Bastards". MF DOOM continued his career as a solo artist and became a highly influential figure in the underground hip-hop scene.
