PRE-OWNED CD

DESCRIPTION
Rainbow Takeaway is the 1978 studio album by influential British singer-songwriter and former Soft Machine member Kevin Ayers, presented here in a 1993 UK remastered CD reissue on BGO Records. Blending progressive rock, whimsical pop, jazz-influenced arrangements and Ayers' distinctive laid-back vocals, the album features contributions from guitarist Ollie Halsall and showcases his eccentric songwriting style. Highlights include "Blaming It All On Love," "A View From The Mountain," "Rainbow Takeaway" and "Beware Of The Dog II." An engaging and characteristically offbeat release from one of the Canterbury scene's most distinctive artists.
