Band Of Gypsys is the landmark live album by Jimi Hendrix and the first released without the original Jimi Hendrix Experience lineup. Recorded on January 1, 1970, at the Fillmore East in New York City, the album features Hendrix alongside Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums, collectively known as the Band Of Gypsys.

Blending funk, rhythm & blues and hard rock with Hendrix's groundbreaking guitar work, the album helped lay the foundations for the emerging funk rock genre. Featuring entirely new material, including the iconic "Machine Gun", Band Of Gypsys was the final full-length Hendrix album released during his lifetime and remains one of the most celebrated live recordings in rock history.
