DESCRIPTION
Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in 1979 - over 44 years ago. 

This is a stunning piece of history featuring full colour photos and a short bio on each of the band members. It lists the tour personnel and features the band's discography on the back page. It's in excellent condition but does have a small torn section on the front cover where a price sticker has been removed.

THE TOUR
Jethro Tull's "Stormwatch" tour was in support of their album "Stormwatch," released in 1979. This album marked the end of an era for the band, being the last to feature the classic late 1970s lineup. "Stormwatch" was a progressive rock album with folk and hard rock influences, reflecting concerns about the environment, oil, and technology.

The tour itself started in 1979, following the release of the album. It was significant because it featured music from the "Stormwatch" album, which was darker and more complex than some of their earlier work. The stage show and performances during this tour were known for their high energy and the skilled musicianship of the band members.

Ian Anderson, the band's flautist and vocalist, was the frontman during the tour. The lineup also included key members like Martin Barre on guitar and John Evan on keyboards. Tragically, two members associated with this era of the band, bassist John Glascock and keyboardist John Evan, faced health issues, with Glascock passing away later in the year due to heart problems.

The "Stormwatch" tour represented a pivotal moment in Jethro Tull's career, signaling a transition into a new phase. After this tour and album, the band would undergo several lineup changes and shifts in musical style in the following years.
