DESCRIPTION
Record Store Day Black Friday 2026 exclusive release. Legendary American rock band The Doors present 1966, a rare glimpse into their early recording sessions at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles on August 29, 1966, during the making of their groundbreaking debut album. Featuring multiple takes of Moonlight Drive and Indian Summer, neither of which appeared on the original debut album, these recordings capture studio chatter, complete performances, false starts and the band's creative process. Featuring Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger and John Densmore, this fascinating archival release offers an intimate look at The Doors before their rise to international fame. Pressed on translucent tan coloured vinyl and housed in a single-pocket jacket with an insert. Exclusively released for RSD Black Friday 2026 and limited to 7,000 copies.

Vinyl Colour/Design may slightly vary from the stock images shown on the website for this item.
