THE TOUR
The "This Way Up" tour took place in 1987 in both Europe and North America (USA/Canada). Peter Gabriel, the British singer-songwriter and former frontman of the progressive rock band Genesis, embarked on this tour to support his album "So," which was released in 1986.

The "This Way Up" tour began in Europe and covered various cities across the continent. It was met with critical acclaim and commercial success, drawing large crowds to the concerts. The tour's setlist primarily featured songs from the "So" album, but Peter Gabriel also included some of his earlier solo hits and a few Genesis classics.

The stage setup for the tour was renowned for its innovative and theatrical elements. Peter Gabriel has always been known for his groundbreaking live performances, and this tour was no exception. The concert visuals incorporated sophisticated lighting, video projections, and elaborate stage design to create a captivating and immersive experience for the audience.

Following the European leg, the tour crossed the Atlantic and continued in North America, covering major cities in the USA and Canada. The North American concerts were also well-received and contributed to further establishing Peter Gabriel's reputation as a compelling live performer.

The "This Way Up" tour played a significant role in solidifying Peter Gabriel's position as a respected and influential artist in the music industry. It showcased his unique artistic vision, musical talents, and ability to engage and entertain audiences on a global scale.
