Roronoa Zoro, also known by his alias "Pirate Hunter" Zoro, plays a pivotal role as a primary fighter in the Straw Hat Pirates, serving as one of the crew's swordsmen and a Senior Officer in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is widely acknowledged as the deputy to the group's leader, Monkey D. Luffy.
Initially a bounty hunter, Zoro was the first to join Luffy's crew during the Romance Dawn Arc, making him the crew's second member. Originating from the East Blue, Zoro is the offspring of Tera and Roronoa Arashi, and the descendant of both the Shimotsuki Family from Wano Country and the legendary samurai, Shimotsuki Ryuma.
He is the grandson of Shimotsuki Furiko and Roronoa Pinzoro, and the great-nephew of Shimotsuki Ushimaru. Zoro, a practitioner and the creator of the Three Sword Style which he developed during his early training in Shimotsuki Village, is recognized as one of the Straw Hats' top three fighters, alongside Luffy and Sanji, collectively known as the "Monster Trio." His ultimate aspiration is to be the world's foremost swordsman, a goal he pursues to fulfill a vow to Kuina, his late childhood friend and relative.
