Grandpa Munster is portrayed by Al Lewis and is one of the show's main characters. He is the father of Lily Munster and the grandfather of Eddie Munster. Grandpa is a vampire, and his character adds to the show's humour with his eccentric personality and penchant for conducting strange experiments in his basement laboratory. Despite his somewhat sinister appearance, Grandpa Munster is depicted as a loving and protective family member.
