THE TOUR
Joni Mitchell's "Refuge" tour in Australia took place in 1983. It was her first time to tour Australia. The tour was in support of her album "Wild Things Run Fast," which was released in 1982. This album marked a departure from her earlier folk and acoustic sound, featuring a more rock-oriented and pop-inflected style. The "Refuge" tour was a significant event for Joni Mitchell fans in Australia, as it provided them with an opportunity to see the iconic singer-songwriter live in concert.

Joni Mitchell was known for collaborating with talented musicians, and her band for this tour included notable musicians Larry Klein (bass), Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), and Russell Ferrante (keyboards) and Michael Landau (guitar). Their contributions to the live performances added depth and energy to the music.

This tour, which included a series of performances in various Australian cities, allowed Joni Mitchell to connect with her audience and showcase her musical versatility as she continued to experiment with her sound and explore different musical genres. It's worth noting that Joni Mitchell's tours were always highly anticipated and well-received by her fans. The 1980s marked a period of change and growth in her music, and her live performances during this time were a reflection of that evolution.

COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians.  Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.

Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
