THE TOUR
The Fleetwood Mac "Behind the Mask World Tour" took place in 1990 and was a major concert tour by the iconic rock band Fleetwood Mac. This tour was in support of their 15th studio album, "Behind the Mask," which was released in 1990 and marked the first album after the departure of Lindsey Buckingham, who had been a key member of the band.

The "Behind the Mask" album featured the new lineup of Fleetwood Mac, with the addition of two new members, Billy Burnette and Rick Vito. The band's lineup for the tour consisted of Mick Fleetwood (drums), John McVie (bass), Christine McVie (keyboards/vocals), Stevie Nicks (vocals), Billy Burnette (guitar/vocals), and Rick Vito (guitar/vocals).

The tour kicked off on March 23 1990, in Brisbane, Australia and during the tour, Fleetwood Mac played 101 shows in 9 countries around the world. The opening acts for the tour were Squeeze, Jethro Tull and Hall & Oates.

Stevie Nicks embraced the "big hair" era, with huge shoulder pads and long cut bustiers. She also started wearing many different hats of all shapes and sizes.

The November 2nd show in Philadelphia was originally scheduled for July 20th, but it was cancelled due to the death of Christine McVie's father.

It was a significant tour as it showcased the band's new musical direction with the addition of Burnette and Vito, who brought their own unique styles to the group.

During the "Behind the Mask World Tour," Fleetwood Mac performed a mix of their classic hits along with tracks from the "Behind the Mask" album. The setlist included well-known songs such as "Go Your Own Way," "Don't Stop," "Rhiannon," "Landslide," and "Everywhere," among others.

The tour was well-received by fans and critics alike, though some longtime fans of the band missed the absence of Lindsey Buckingham. Despite the change in lineup, Fleetwood Mac's performance quality remained strong, and the tour was successful in terms of ticket sales and attendance.
