DESCRIPTION
Vintage original official concert merchandise from the actual gig in 1984 - 40 years ago. Printed for the tour of Australia, which was presented by Garry Van Egmond, David Trew and Roger Forrester.  

This program has lots of photos, info, discography, band members and a list of management and crew. It's in excellent condition with only very minor edge wear.

Actual images of item have been used and form part of the item condition/description.  

THE TOUR
In 1984, Eric Clapton toured Australia, performing at various venues. Some of the locations and dates for his performances in Australia included:

  1. Brisbane Festival Hall in Brisbane on November 17th.
  2. Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on November 20th and 21st.
  3. Sports & Entertainment Centre in Melbourne on November 23rd and 24th.
  4. Perth Entertainment Centre in Perth on November 28th.

During these concerts, Clapton's setlists featured a mix of his own songs and covers of classics. Notable songs performed included "Everybody Oughta Make A Change" by Sleepy John Estes, "I Shot the Sheriff" by The Wailers, "Layla" by Derek and the Dominos, and "Wonderful Tonight" from his album "Slowhand". Additionally, songs from his album "Behind the Sun" such as "Same Old Blues", "She's Waiting", and "Tangled in Love" were also part of the setlists.

The band lineup for these performances included Eric Clapton on guitar and vocals, Chris Stainton on keyboards, Peter Robinson on synthesizer, Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass, Jamie Oldaker on drums, and Marcy Levy and Shaun Murphy on backing vocals.
