Westwood One was most notable for its coverage and location recording of live concerts and events for broadcast/distribution via LP. The LPs contain a fully scripted show with ads and spots for local ads to be included. On completion of the contact to air the program the LPs were to be returned to Westwood One. They were never released commercially.
However some hit the local collectors market and are now a rare find.Â
This show , The Ultimate Radio Concerts Dire Straits SS86-25, was broadcasted on the weekend of November 29 1986 - some 36 years ago and sponsored by Coca Cola and Sprite. It includes the original cue sheet for the local radio announcers.
Box is in VG+ condition, 1 split corner and sticker residue on top right front corner. LPs are VG++
