THE TOUR
The Sound + Vision Tour took place in 1990 and was conceived as a retrospective of David Bowie's extensive career. It served as a farewell tour of sorts, as Bowie announced during the tour that he would no longer perform his older songs live after its conclusion. The tour began on March 4, 1990, and ended on September 27, 1990, with a total of 108 shows across Europe, North America, and Japan.
Unlike the elaborate staging of the earlier Glass Spider Tour, the Sound + Vision Tour had a simpler setup, focusing more on the music and the career-spanning setlist. The performances featured a blend of Bowie's greatest hits and fan favorites from his extensive discography.
The tour was well-received by fans and critics, who appreciated the opportunity to witness Bowie perform a comprehensive selection of his iconic songs. It showcased Bowie's evolution as an artist and highlighted the depth and breadth of his musical catalog.
The Sound + Vision Concert Tours played a significant role in solidifying David Bowie's reputation as a legendary performer, demonstrating his ability to captivate audiences with his distinctive style, musical versatility, and theatrical flair.
COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are unique pieces of rock history and can also be simply a piece of nostalgia of your days of concert going. Great for any collector/investor. Fantastic early concert shots of band.
Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
