THE TOUR
Cliff Richard's career had spanned 25 years, from 1958 to 1983, at the time of this tour of Australia. As a seasoned performer, Cliff Richard continued to tour extensively during the early 1980s, both in the UK and internationally. His concerts attracted large audiences, and he was known for his energetic and engaging stage presence.
For this tour, he was supported by The Globos, a musical comedy cabaret group, which was founded in Melbourne in 1980 by Mark Trevorrow and Wendy de Waal. The group mimed old records and commercials, in a loving and hilarious recreation of early Australian TV pop shows, and then recorded (and mimed!) their own material.Â
Cliff Richard had a strong fan base in Australia, and his albums and singles performed well on the Australian charts during the early 1980s. This tour was as successful as all his others; Cliff has a real knack for engaging audiences with his energetic performances and timeless hits.
COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians. Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.
Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
