THE TOUR
The "Living Proof Farewell Tour" was a concert tour by the legendary American singer and actress, Cher. The tour took place between 2002 and 2005 and was promoted as Cher's final tour, which she later extended and renamed the "Never Can Say Goodbye Tour." This decision to retire from touring turned out to be short-lived, as Cher has continued to perform in various concerts and residencies since then.
The tour kicked off in Toronto in June 2002 and would continue onward for a record-breaking 326 shows, ending in Los Angeles in April 2005. The final show was performed at the Hollywood Bowl, incidentally where Cher made her first concert appearance with former husband, Sonny Bono. Cher explained the longevity of the tour was based on asking her manager to continue to add dates because of the audience reaction. The tour was originally slated to end with the Australasian leg in the autumn of 2004, however, an additional North American leg was added in January 2005.Â
The tour was in support of her album "Living Proof," which was released in 2001. The tour was a massive success and received widespread critical acclaim. Cher's incredible vocals, extravagant stage sets, and elaborate costumes were a highlight of the show, making it a memorable experience for her fans.
The tour covered various cities in North America, Europe, and Australia, and it was divided into multiple legs. Cher performed some of her biggest hits during the concert, along with songs from her "Living Proof" album.
The tour grossed well over $200 million, earning Cher the Guinness World Record for the "Highest Grossing Tour by a Female Artist" at the time.
COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians. Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.
Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
