In "Avengers: Infinity War," the Hulkbuster armour makes a significant appearance, but with a notable twist. Bruce Banner, not Tony Stark, operates the suit. After his return to Earth, Banner finds himself unable to transform into the Hulk, who refuses to emerge after a defeat by Thanos at the beginning of the movie. This situation leaves Banner without his usual Hulk abilities during the critical battles against Thanos' forces.
To compensate, Banner uses the Hulkbuster armour to fight alongside the other Avengers in the battle of Wakanda. The armour provides him the necessary strength and protection to be an effective combatant against the Outriders, the alien beasts that are part of Thanos' army. The suit, although primarily designed to counter Hulk's strength, proves versatile and powerful in general combat situations.
