    THE TOUR
In 1981, Status Quo was a well-established and highly popular British rock band known for their distinctive boogie-rock sound. The band's lineup during this period consisted of:

    1. Francis Rossi - Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar
    2. Rick Parfitt - Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals
    3. Alan Lancaster - Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals
    4. Andy Bown - Keyboards, Guitar, Harmonica, Backing Vocals
    5. Pete Kircher - Drums, Percussion

Status Quo had already achieved significant success in the UK and other parts of the world by the early 1980s. They had released a string of successful albums and singles, establishing themselves as one of the leading bands in the rock music scene.

In March 1981, Status Quo released their 16th studio album titled "Never Too Late." The album featured several tracks that became fan favorites, including "Something 'Bout You Baby I Like," "Rock 'n' Roll," and the title track "Never Too Late." The album received positive reviews from both critics and fans and contributed to their continued success.

The 1981 World Tour followed the release of "Never Too Late." During this tour, Status Quo performed in various countries across different continents, captivating audiences with their energetic live shows and trademark boogie-rock style.

This tour marked a significant period in the band's career and contributed to their continued popularity on the global stage. Status Quo was known for their energetic and engaging live performances, and the 1981 World Tour was no exception. Fans around the world had the opportunity to experience their classic hits and newer material from the "Never Too Late" album.

Throughout their career, Status Quo was also known for their extensive touring schedule and powerful live performances. Their energetic and straightforward approach to rock music resonated with audiences, making them a beloved act in the concert circuit.

Apart from their musical success, the band also faced some challenges during this period. In 1981, drummer John Coghlan, who had been with the band since its inception, departed, and Pete Kircher took over the drumming duties.

Overall, the early 1980s was a significant time for Status Quo, and their presence in the rock music scene continued to be felt through their album releases, hit singles, and extensive touring activities. Their music and influence have left a lasting legacy in the world of rock and roll.

    COLLECTABILITY
Tour programs are highly collectable and sought after for several reasons. Firstly, they provide a tangible memento of a specific concert or event, allowing fans to relive the experience and cherish the memories associated with it. Tour programs often feature exclusive content like behind-the-scenes photos, interviews, and detailed information about the artists and their performances. Additionally, they serve as a snapshot of a particular era in an artist's career, making them valuable to both music enthusiasts and historians.  Whether you're a dedicated fan or a passionate collector, owning these programs offers a tangible connection to the music world and serves as a treasured piece of memorabilia.

Programs can also be framed together with other items we have on our website such as vinyl records, official stage guitar picks, autographs, backstage passes, concert tickets, drumsticks and photos and you can create a truly one-of-a-kind unique piece of memorabilia.
