A Brief History Of The Fab Four
Formed in Liverpool in 1960, The Beatles — John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr — rose from playing clubs in Hamburg and the Cavern Club to becoming the most influential band in music history. By 1963, Beatlemania had taken hold across Britain, and within a year they had conquered America with their legendary appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Between 1963 and 1970, The Beatles released 13 studio albums that reshaped popular music — from the pop energy of Please Please Me, to the innovation of Revolver and Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, to the timeless classics of Abbey Road and Let It Be. Their sound evolved from rock ’n’ roll roots to psychedelic experimentation, symphonic arrangements, and pioneering studio techniques.
Though they officially split in 1970, the Beatles’ legacy continues to define modern music. With over 600 million records sold worldwide, they remain the gold standard of songwriting, creativity, and cultural impact.
