THE TOUR
The U2 Love Comes To Town Tour was a concert tour that took place in 1989. It was officially known as the "Lovetown Tour," and it was in support of U2's critically acclaimed album "Rattle and Hum," which was released in 1988. The tour began on September 21, 1989, in Perth, Australia, and concluded on January 10, 1990, in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
During the Lovetown Tour, U2 performed in various cities around the world, including locations in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Europe, and Ireland. This tour was notable for its relatively smaller and more intimate venues compared to some of U2's later stadium tours, which allowed for a more personal connection between the band and the audience.
The Lovetown Tour featured a mix of songs from "Rattle and Hum" as well as many of U2's classic hits from previous albums. It was a successful tour that continued to solidify U2's reputation as one of the world's premier rock bands.
