Beatles - With The Beatles Vinyl LP
DESCRIPTION
Friday, November 22, 1963, is still remembered by many who witnessed it as the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas. Earlier, on that eventful day, Parlophone had released the Beatles' second album. With The Beatles picked up where Please Please Me left off, combining more Lennon-McCartney originals with other highlights from their stage program. It also included the songwriting debut of their twenty-year-old lead guitarist George Harrison. None of the tracks on With The Beatles were released as singles in the UK, and Robert Freeman's distinctive black and white cover art was also groundbreaking for a pop album. With The Beatles shot to # 1 in the UK, replacing Please Please Me and staying there for 21 of the 51 weeks it spent in the Top Twenty.
